In Gutach, in the heart of the Elz valley, the art and tradition of distilling tasty fruit has been cultivated for generations. At least since the year 1786, distilling fruit has been a custom in the Weis family. The modern "spirited" history of the Elz Valley Distillery Weis began in 1917.
